Caterina Ripamonti Caterina Ripamonti obtained a BA (Experimental Psychology, 1996) from University of Trieste (IT) and a PhD (Vision Science, 2002) from Colour & Imaging Institute, Derby University (UK) with Professor Stephen Westland.

She obtained the Women in Science and Technology scholarship from the European Community and worked (October 1997-July 1998) as a research assistant with Colourware at the Communication and Neuroscience Department, Keele University, (UK).

She has been a Postdoctoral Fellow with Prof. David Brainard at the Department of Psychology, University of Pennsylvania, (USA).

She has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow with Dr David Tolhurst at the Department of Physiology, University of Cambridge, (UK).

She is currently a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow with Prof. Andrew Stockman , at Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London, and Honorary Research Fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital, (UK).

She is teaching Vision Sciences at Università degli Studi Suor Orsola Benincasa, Naples (IT).

Her research interests include colour constancy , perceptual transparency , and discrimination of natural scenes.
